Sisters Marian and Lucia Aguilar grew up on their family's Santa Lucia coffee farm in Venezuela. Both trained at Monmouth Coffee in London before co-founding Ceresia with Lucia's husband Bret Asavaroengchai, a Thai-American, in 2013. The name means cherry in Latin, a nod to the coffee cherry fruit.
Their brother recommends origins across Latin America: Chanjul Estate in Mexico, Fazenda Río Verde in Brazil, Inzá in Colombia. Kenyan Kianjuki AA and a Ceresia Thai Blend round out the range, all small-batch roasted weekly by Bret at the back of the Sukhumvit Soi 41 shop.
