Chef Kanta Siddidharm interned at Copenhagen's Noma and headed the fermentation lab at Charoenkrung 80/20 before opening Pridi (Thai for "joy") in a converted mid-century home during lockdown in 2022. The front garage doubles as roasting space shared with Hands and Heart next door, which supplies beans alongside Livid Coffee Roasters and their Giesen roaster.
A long red-brown wooden bar faces arched window openings, with 1950s vintage furniture and blue cafe tables on wood plank flooring. The open kitchen serves chicken liver pâté on sourdough and dishes with fermented nutmeg dressing, while the slow bar pours Kenyan and Costa Rican single origins.
